ADULT LEAGUE - CODE OF CONDUCT
The Adult League Code of Conduct shall serve as a guideline for how individuals are expected tobehave when participating in Beth Am Basketball's Adult League.
Guidelines of conduct include,
but are not limited to
the examples outlined below.
Please direct any questions to Craig Mankoff at
cmankoff@tbam.org
or (786) 364-9439.
Each team must turn in a roster prior to the first game of the season. At least four members of each team must be Temple Beth Am members.
All players must wear the appropriate jersey. Each team will be given a set of eight jerseys. NO EXTRAS GIVEN! Failure to wear the given jersey will result in a technical foul on the player. (2 shots per player, before the game)
All teams should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled game time.
If a team is more than 15 minutes late, they forfeit the game.
If a team will not be able to make a game, please give us at least one week's notice, so we can plan the forfeit and determine if we can adjust the schedule.
No player can play on more than one team.
If a team does not have enough players (4) for their game, they can “pick up” players to play the game, however the opposing team will get an automatic win.
No jewelry may be worn during a game.
Two technical fouls on a player during a game will result in an automatic ejection and a one-game suspension.
Profanity
of any kind will not be tolerated. Use of profanity will result in an automatic ejection from that game and a one-game suspension.
Poor sportsmanship
is not allowed. All displays of poor sportsmanship will result in immediate ejection from the game, and potentially the League.
Verbal abuse
of another player or official will not be tolerated. An automatic two-game suspension will ensue because of these actions.
Fighting
will result in immediate ejection from that game as well as expulsion from the League. (No refunds will be given!) Reinstatement in future leagues will be at the discretion of the staff. If any two (2) players from the same team are ejected in the same game, that team will forfeit that game, and the entire team will be put on probation. One additional ejection from the same team will result in the entire team being suspended for the season.
Game Rules
Games will consist of two (2)
18-minute halves.
The clock will stop only on timeouts, the last minute of the 1
st
half on every whistle and the last
2
minutes of the 2
nd
half on every whistle. All overtime periods are 3 minutes in length with the clock stopping at 1 minute or less on every whistle.
If a team is winning by 20 or more points at the 2-minute mark or below of the 2
nd
half, the game will be stopped at that point.
Each team will have 2 timeouts per half (no carry-over) and 1 additional timeout for each overtime period.
Each team must have at least
4
roster players to begin each game.
One and one bonus on the 7
th
team foul of each half and 2-shot double bonus on the 10
th
team foul of each half.
All players foul out with six (6) personal fouls.
All technical fouls will count as personal fouls and team fouls, whether the player is in the game or on the bench.
The team captain is responsible for the conduct of his entire team while at TBAM. All players are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
All rulings by the officials and League staff are final and non-negotiable.
Playoffs
A single-elimination playoff tournament will be played to determine the champion. All teams will qualify for the playoffs.
If a tie-breaker for playoff seeding is needed, the following criteria will be followed:
1. Head to Head results with teams that are tied
2. Point Differential
