The Season:
Coaches select players via a draft. Each player must attend the evaluations on the date their division is scheduled. The evaluation schedule can be found below. (There are no evaluations for High School Boys):

Saturday, January 20
12 pm - Senior Boys (7th-8th Grade)
1:30 pm - Rookie Boys (3rd-4th Grade)
3:30 pm - Rookie Girls (3rd-4th Grade)

Saturday, January 21
1 pm - Junior Girls (5th-6th Grade)
2:30 pm - Junior Boys (5th-6th Grade)

Each coach will then contact his/her drafted players and begin practices. Games are scheduled to begin the week of Monday, February 5, and can be held any day of the week except Friday.

1st – 2nd Grade Parents- We are excited to continue our new coed Peewee clinics for 1st – 2nd Grade. In addition to skill-development instruction designed specifically for our youngest athletes, these clinics will feature scrimmages at the end of every session. It's the perfect opportunity for your child to develop foundational skills, build confidence, and have a blast with their peers. Clinics will be held Wednesday afternoons (4:30-5:30) and will run from February 7 to May 8.

Application and Fee:
Please be aware that enrollment is only available with our online registration system and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The League usually fills up causing us to put players on a waiting list.

Your Beth Am Basketball season fee includes a $50 non-refundable processing charge. There will be no refund of the League fees after December 21, 2023.

Please contact Craig Mankoff at cmankoff@tbam.org or 786.364.9439 with any questions you may have.

Code of Ethics and Conduct

All players, coaches, referees and spectators shall conduct themselves in a manner that provides a safe and positive environment for young people to play basketball.

Negative commentary or gesturing toward anyone will not be tolerated, as it is contrary to the spirit of good sportsmanship.

Spectators, while always welcome, shall bear in mind that they are present only to view the game, and must not interrupt or interfere with players or referees during the game.

Players and spectators should accept League officials’ decisions, as they are rendered to the best of their abilities, based on League rules as well as principles of fairness and impartiality.

Coaches are role models for the players in their care. Coaches should teach by example, showing respect for their players, opponents, colleagues and League officials.

Being on a team requires a commitment to be present and prepared at weekly practices and games.

The Temple Beth Am Basketball Committee, under the leadership of the Basketball Commissioners, is directed by the Temple Beth Am Board of Directors to establish all rules of play and conduct. League officials are authorized to enforce such rules.

As a recreational league, Beth Am Basketball doesn't have a provision stating that players will be removed from a team for not attending practices. However, practice is an essential part of any team activity, and we expect that attending practices will be a priority for you and your child. While we understand that some players will have to miss an occasional game or practice, we want everyone to be fully committed to their team. By checking this box, you are confirming that you and your child are able to fulfill the scheduling demands of Beth Am Basketball by consistently attending practices and games.
Please note, we will not be scheduling games around responses to this question (games can be any day except Friday), and there are no guarantees that your team's practices will not be on the days you indicated as conflicts.
